IVF failed and a successful pregnancy

• Failed two IVF  cycles
• 3 miscarriages
• PCOS: Polycystic ovarian syndrome
• Unexplained infertility

I am less than 2 weeks off having my baby & have just turned 37 years of age. My husband & I have spent 3.5 years trying to have a baby. Initially, coming off the pill we fell pregnant straight away. However, at 7 weeks we miscarried. The ultrasound showed I had PCOS. At the time, the Obstetrician said it may not be a problem.

After trying for 6 months we went back to him & he put me on Clomid- which I took for 4 months with no success. I was then referred to a fertility doctor. We had several tests which revealed little else besides a slightly reduced sperm motility result for my husband. 15 months after my 1st  miscarriage I fell pregnant again.

At 6 weeks, miscarried again. 4 months later fell pregnant for a 3rd  time & again miscarried at 7 weeks. At this point the Obstetrician decided to do more testing at Sydney IVF which has a Miscarriage Management Program. No real reasons were discovered for my recurrent miscarriage. Then we embarked on 2 IVF cycles with Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis which were unsuccessful. In January 2005, we (through a friend) discovered Elizabeth Kress who started to treat us both in her role as a naturopath.

We undertook a 4 month detox / preconception program & in May 2005 I fell pregnant this time with success! In treating both of us Elizabeth prepared our bodies optimally which resulted in better sperm motility for my husband, a more regular ovulation cycle for myself & a better body for pregnancy. We can’t recommend Elizabeth highly enough for anyone having problems conceiving & truly believe in her methods. We can see why she is so successful in achieving results!
